Global Curriculum and Instruction
Global curriculum and instruction, in partnership with global programs, provide opportunities for students to build connections and help shape a better world. The knowledge, skills, and dispositions of a globally competent graduate are laid out in the
Punahou Global Competence Framework.
The learning journey from kindergarten through 12th grade provides multiple opportunities to explore shared humanity, systems of interconnectedness, and to engage in real world problems. Developmentally appropriate learning outcomes for all learners are provided in grade level global learning targets.
At Punahou, we believe that Global awareness must be rooted in a deep sense of place. Global education provides opportunities for students to share about Hawaiian culture and to see Hawai'i as part of a larger connected system. The Wo International Center partners with Kuaihelani Learning Center to connect the local and the global.
