Halle Lum
Jazz, Mini Dance Team, YAGP
Halle Lum began her education at Punahou School. She started her dance training in Hawai‘i, at Ballet Hawai‘i, Honolulu Dance Studio, Punahou Dance School and The Movement Center. Halle began competing regionally and nationally from age 6. She placed 1st in many local, mainland and national competitions with New York City Dance Alliance, JUMP, Spotlight and Open Call.
Halle competed at Youth America Grand Prix Finals in NYC and placed in the Top 10 at The Dance Awards. She is fortunate to have trained and mentored under Complexions Contemporary Ballet, under the direction of Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, in their Trainee Program. She also danced the role of Clara in Ballet Hawai‘i’s Nutcracker where she learned original choreography by Septime Webre and was coached by him. She trained in summer programs at The Rock School, Miami City Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet School, School of American Ballet (CA), American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet School. Currently, Halle is enjoying being home and teaching dance. She attends the University of Hawai‘i and studies Kinesiology.
