Undergraduate studies (Kapi‘olani Community College, Leeward Community College, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa)

Major teachers include Oliver Stone, Howard Roberts, and Jerry Byrd. Ledward has performed with many artists including Don Ho, Melveen Leed, Marlene Sai, as well as the Smothers Brothers and Bobby Vinton.

Ledward has taught at Punahou since 2007.
