Les Misérables

Based on Victor Hugo’s classic, “Les Misérables” is the story of Jean Valjean, released after 19 years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread. Valjean becomes a successful factory owner and the mayor of a prosperous town, but is relentlessly hunted by police inspector, Javert. Years later, during a bloody student uprising, Valjean saves the life of a young man, Marius, who is hopelessly in love with his adopted daughter, Cosette. At last, Valjean feels fully redeemed.

53 students from grades 5 – 12 made up the ensemble cast that performed five sold-out shows on the Dillingham Hall stage this spring.
