D. Kenneth Richardson ’48
The D. Kenneth Richardson ’48 Endowed Financial Aid Fund was established in 2022 by Ken Richardson ’48. The purpose of this Fund is to support students who qualify for financial aid at Punahou School and who have a preference and ability to excel in diverse STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
D. Kenneth Richardson: Punahou is at the forefront of preparing students for advanced education, professional success and social confidence. It also can inspire a lifelong passion for innovation that will make significant progress in human lifestyle. Most such progress is made by those with a deep interest and education in science and engineering.
Financially helping students who have these technology interests and abilities is personally rewarding, as is knowing that stimulating essential new talented professionals will assist our nation to prosper in our actively competitive world. This is a most satisfying and worthwhile investment by this Buff ‘n Blue old-timer, a descendant of Dr. Gerrit and Laura Judd, who arrived in Hawai‘i in 1828 and were leaders in the founding of O‘ahu College.
