We are so grateful for the tremendous generosity of our donors during the 2023 – 2024 school year. Thank you for being part of the incredible community that powers all that we do.
The Chapel theme for this school year was the ‘ōlelo no‘eau: “Ulana i ka piko,” which translates to “when weaving, begin with the center,” inspired by our new mission statement.
We are children of Ka Punahou, the new spring.
From under the hala tree, we weave a mat that seats many,
our home to dream and discover our purpose and kuleana
to Hawaiʻi and the world.
Over the course of the last school year, the Punahou community wove a beautiful mat of unique experiences and meaningful memories. Donors like you made this possible by contributing 10,553 gifts. Our generous community also went above and beyond, establishing 224 new future pledges for school priorities in the years to come.
Together, your gifts:
- Launched construction for our new Mary Kawena Pukui Learning Commons in the Academy and contributed to the ongoing care and maintenance of our vibrant 76-acre campus in Mānoa.
- Helped us provide financial aid awards averaging $11,800 each and assisting 878 promising students (22% of total enrollment) who might not otherwise be able to afford a Punahou education, allowing our admissions to be need-blind.
- Supported training and professional development for our nearly 800 distinguished faculty and staff, who educate and nurture our 3,770 students.
- Ensured continued academic excellence, an outstanding, innovative curriculum and successful student outcomes.
- Created unparalleled opportunities in athletics, music, dance, art and theater.
- Welcomed the first cohort of students from schools across the state to the inaugural Sustainability Fellowship Program at Punahou School, and celebrated the 20th inspiring year of dynamic student community service through the Luke Center for Public Service.
Thank you for your generous support, we are deeply appreciative.
