GIVING TO PUNAHOU 2023 - 2024

Alumni Fabric of Aloha

Without gifts from alumni, Punahou would simply not be the School it is today. In fiscal year 2024, our alumni came together to contribute more than $11 million, making a difference for students on our campus today and for future generations. Many of these gifts were received in honor of the Reunion Classes ending in 4 or 9, who enjoyed a meaningful week of Reunion celebrations in June.

The Class of 1974 celebrated their 50th Reunion by achieving the highest participation rate among all Reunion classes this year, ending with 42% of classmates (160 donors) making a gift, totaling $1.9 million in contributions to the School. In addition, the Class of 1974 led all Reunion Classes on Giving Day 2024, collectively contributing more than $52,000 to the Punahou Fund! “All of our Class of ’74 Reunion donors have my personal mahalo for their generosity and support,” said Tom Farrell ’74, 50th Reunion Gift Chair.

Celebrating their 60th anniversary, the Class of 1964 surprised everyone by setting a new all-time Class Giving record, reaching $4,462,187 in philanthropic support to Punahou! The 25th Reunion Class of 1999 also had a strong showing, with 156 classmates making a gift this year, including 128 donations on Giving Day! “Giving Day was one of the best parts of serving on our Reunion committee. It was a fun and rewarding opportunity to connect with my classmates and build excitement ahead of our reunion,” shared Carly Wong ’99 Teruya, 25th Reunion Gift Chair. “I'm so proud to see how many of my classmates stepped up to show their class spirit and support the school and our Reunion Class Gift.”

With 4,119 alumni donors making gifts this year, both large and small, all of these precious gifts create the fabric of aloha that unites us.
