Hiroshi and Lillian Y. Nobunaga Family Fund
The Hiroshi and Lillian Y. Nobunaga Family Fund was generously established by Austin ’73 and Martha Nobunaga, in honor of Austin's parents, Hiroshi and Lillian Y. Nobunaga. This fund embodies a legacy of dedication to education.
Hiroshi and Lillian’s tireless efforts and sacrifices enabled their four sons - Howard ’71, Austin ’73 and twins Alan and Brian ’79 - to attend Punahou. All four sons attended the University of Michigan and enjoyed successful careers in their chosen professions.
Austin and Martha envision this endowed fund as a vehicle to offer deserving students, who otherwise may not have the means, to access the academic excellence and transformative experiences that Punahou provides. Austin believes that graduating from Punahou creates an obligation to “pay it forward.” By establishing the Hiroshi and Lillian Y. Nobunaga Family Fund, the gift of a Punahou education that he and his brothers received will empower generations that follow.
