Since its founding in 1841, Punahou School has educated students to become the next generation of leaders and innovators. Learn about our rich history, visionary leadership and guiding principles.
The Kahiau Fund provides support for students at Punahou who qualify for financial aid, with a preference for students who add to the diversity and inclusivity of Punahou School and are involved in service activities that give back to their community.
Diversity and inclusivity include a broad range of differences, among other things, country of citizenship, other languages spoken, race-ethnicity, primary household, family educational history interests and community involvement. These preferences are considerations intended to provide opportunities and resources for students who might otherwise not be able to attend Punahou School. This fund was created by members of the class of 1973 in honor of their 50th Reunion in 2023 and is open for support from all members of the Punahou community.
