Patrick H. Quilter ’64 Endowed Fund for Voyaging
The Patrick H. Quilter ’64 Endowed Fund for Voyaging was established in 2023 to provide generous support for the ongoing operations of Punahou’s voyaging programming and the wa‘a Kamaola, in perpetuity.
The program exemplifies experiential learning at Punahou, and teaches students to understand where they came from, passing down the traditions and wisdom of sustainable island culture. Learning-by-doing is a powerful mechanism that creates lasting memories in the hearts and minds of our students, and Pat is honored to help Punahou advance its commitment to academic excellence in a way that is inspirational and meaningful. The participation of Kamaola in the 2024 Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture is a wonderful endorsement of the outreach and community building power of the Punahou voyaging program.
