• For the Pa‘ani Pledge, how does Pa‘ani want me to give — through Pa‘ani or directly to Punahou?

  Nā Wāhine Pā‘ani o Punahou leadership have asked that gifts be given and paid directly to Punahou School, for ease of processing. However, when you make the gift to Punahou be sure to indicate your gift is part of the Pā‘ani Pledge, or else your gift may not be credited and counted toward the Pledge.

• How does the triple credit work?

  During Pā’ani Pledge Campaign, a donor to the pledge can receive up to three types of credit for their one donation:
  

  1. Personal giving credit to Punahou
  2. Alumni Reunion Class Credit 
  3. Pā‘ani Pledge credit towards the $100,000 goal

• I have more questions about my gift. Who should I call?

• My class is reunioning this year. Can my gift count toward the Pa‘ani Pledge AND my class reunion gift?

  Yes! As long as your gift comes in directly to Punahou and is designated toward the Pā‘ani Pledge initiatives, everything you give or pledge during your reunion year can count toward BOTH your reunion and the Pā‘ani pledge.

• My gift is $10,000+ (through a one-time donation or a 5-year pledge), can my name be on the Kosasa Donor Wall?

  Yes! Donors at the $10,000 level can choose a name they’d like to have on the donor wall. If you are considering a gift at this level, please contact Tara Olney in Punahou’s Advancement Office for more information: 808.944.3578.

• What areas at Punahou can I support and “credit” the Pa‘ani Pledge?

  The Pā‘ani Pledge credits all gifts designated to Pā‘ani to support either: 
  

  • The Kosasa Community Project, or
  • An endowed Financial Aid fund that supports athletes at Punahou (such as the Pā‘ani fund)

• What is the “Pa‘ani Pledge” goal?

  To raise $100,000 toward Punahou’s Sidney and Minnie Kosasa Community for Grades 2 – 5 project AND Financial Aid for athletes. If $100,000 is raised for the Sidney and Minnie Kosasa Community for Grades 2-5, Nā Wāhine Pā‘ani o Punahou will be recognized with a naming opportunity on the grounds (Pa‘ani Pathway in front of the Lily Pond).

• Will Na Wahine Pa‘ani o Punahou organization match my gift?

  Yes! The Pā‘ani organization has pledged to match members’ gifts on a 4:1 basis (for every $4 you give, the Pā‘ani organization will give $1).
