Aloha ’62ers!
Our 60th Reunion is just months away and we are eager to celebrate! Fortunately, pandemic conditions are trending in a positive direction and, if this continues, we hope to be able to gather in person. Until then, we will continue to keep you updated on activities, Class merchandise sales and upcoming deadlines.
Please mark June 6 – 12, 2022 on your calendar for Alumni Week. Alumni Lū‘au is Saturday, June 11. We are hoping to be able to get together also on Friday, June 10, for either lunch or cocktails and dinner, and on Sunday, June 12 for brunch. A memorial program will be planned for one of these events to honor those classmates who have passed away. Details (times and locations) will be provided as we get into the new year!
Our gatherings will adhere to Hawai‘i’s regulations for large events and will include health and safety precautions. There will also be opportunities for classmates to join some events virtually. Everyone is welcome!
We have also set a Reunion Class Gift goal for donations and participation percentage for this milestone year. During our 55th Reunion year (2017), our goal was $500,000 and when all pledges/monies were in, we had gifted Punahou with $1.2 million dollars (32% participation)! This is fabulous and we’d like to think we can do even better this time around! So … let’s increase both our participation and gift totals, with a goal of $1.5 million and 100% participation! We CAN do this … we are the CLASS OF 1962! Remember all that Punahou has meant to us through the years and how much it still means to the young people who are fortunate enough to currently share the Punahou experience. Let’s show our gratitude and appreciation and make our Class Gift truly special!
Hoping that you and your family have a truly memorable and happy holiday season and that we will see you in June!
