About the Case Accelerator for Student Entrepreneurship

Funded by a generous gift from the Steve and Jean Case and the Case Foundation, the Case Accelerator for Student Entrepreneurship was established as a K – 12 Center in 2018. The goal is to instill an entrepreneurial mindset into every student while supporting students in developing solutions to real-world problems and questions.

Our Team

The Case Accelerator for Student Entrepreneurship is headed up by Yolanda Lau ’98, a proud alum of Punahou and MIT. A chemical engineer and biologist by training, she is a serial entrepreneur, executive coach, educator, writer, and advisor. Yolanda has served as an executive for numerous startups, including B2B SaaS fintech startup Liquid and sports excitement analytics company Are You Watching This?!. She is also an advisor to Vitalize VC, a venture capital firm investing in the work revolution. At the same time, Yolanda has spent the last 20+ years teaching and mentoring students from grades K through college in entrepreneurship, sustainability, robotics, public service, and coding. Her expertise includes thought leadership in the future of work, artificial intelligence, and 21st-century skills, as well as integrating mindfulness and positive psychology into the workplace.

In addition, Mark Loughridge, Director Emeritus of the Case Accelerator for Student Entrepreneurship continues to support students and programs on a voluntary basis.

The Case Accelerator for Student Entrepreneurship is also assisted by many community and alumni leaders who volunteer their time to mentor students, give guest lectures, and provide hands-on workshops.

Our Location

Physically, the Case Accelerator for Student Entrepreneurship is housed in the Luke Center for Public Service, a building overlooking the Lily Pond at the heart of the Punahou School campus.
