Grades 9 – 12 Back-to-School Night (for parents/guardians)

During the event, parents and guardians will have an opportunity to meet their child’s advisory teacher and first semester teachers. Your children are preparing a schedule with teachers' course titles and rooms to share with you. You will get a personalized schedule from your child no later than Tuesday afternoon on September 10.
 
Also, you will have the opportunity to visit with the Principals, pop into the offices of the Deans, stop by the Bishop Learning Commons and enjoy light refreshments hosted by the PFA in the Academy Quad.
Here are some tips for the evening:
  • Your child has created a schedule for you and has been instructed either to text you a photo of the schedule or give you a paper copy of the schedule by the afternoon of Tuesday, September 10.  Because we do not have extra copies of your personalized schedule, it is critical that you bring the schedule with you to Back to School Night.
  • Plan on arriving at school before 6 p.m., as there will be lots of traffic on campus.  Parents of 1,700 students attend the Academy Back to School Night.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes - it's a big campus.Bring a flashlight.  Some of the areas are not well-lit.
  • Bring an umbrella.
  • JROTC students will be available to provide directions.
