The Davis Democracy Initiative is delighted to share that Diana Hess will be in residence at Punahou School, visiting classes, speaking with faculty, and giving two public talks on the topic of “Teaching to Defend Democracy.”
Professor Hess is the Karen A. Falk Distinguished Chair of Education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is a global expert on modeling difficult conversations among school-age children and developing classroom practices that can foster democratic engagement.
