Sense of Plate: An Evening with Ligaya Mishan and Friends
VENUE CHANGE: Thurston Memorial Chapel and Courtyard
All are welcome to this community event offering a glimpse into the world of culinary storytelling with Ligaya Rogers ’88 Mishan, acclaimed food writer and co-author of “Filipinx: Heritage Recipes from the Diaspora.”
Ligaya will read from her work and discuss these issues (and more) with Punahou’s Food Curriculum Specialist, Mark Noguchi ’93, and Academy English teacher and Garden Resource faculty member Eliza Leineweber ’92 Lathrop. Learn how curiosity, carefully cultivated skills, and sheer determination have fueled their collective successes in the evolution of how we think about food, and find inspiration for navigating your own creative endeavors.
After Q&A with the panelists, please stay for a meet and greet with Ligaya, featuring light pūpū by Chef Mark Noguchi ’93 and Robynne Maii ’92, chef owner at Fête.
